Hey gamers! I’m curious about which games really shine on the Steam Deck. You know, the ones that just feel right when you’re playing them on this handheld.
I’m a PC gamer and I’m kinda struggling to find games that work well on the Deck. Like, I can’t imagine playing shooters on it because I’m so used to mouse and keyboard. And those big open-world games with fancy graphics? They just don’t look as good on the small screen.
But then again, it feels silly to fire up my beefy gaming rig just to play something simple like a card game.
So what do you think? What games are actually fun to play on the Steam Deck? I’m talking about games with controls that just click, without any awkward menu stuff or clunky inventory management. Maybe even games that are better on the Deck than on a regular PC or console?
Balatro is awesome on the Deck. The card gameplay works great on handheld. It’s super addictive and perfect for quick sessions. I’ve sunk way too many hours into it lately.
Inscryption is awesome on the Deck. The card gameplay and creepy vibe work great on handheld. I’ve sunk way too many hours into it lately. The touchscreen is nice for some parts too.
For the Steam Deck, I’ve found indie games and roguelikes work great. Vampire Survivors is super addictive and perfect for quick sessions. Slay the Spire is another one that feels right at home on the handheld. And if you’re into farming sims, Stardew Valley is a no-brainer. The controls just feel natural, and you can easily lose hours without realizing it. These games don’t need fancy graphics to be fun, which is ideal for the Deck’s screen size.
