Which survival horror game do you enjoy the most?

Hey everyone! I’ve been getting into survival horror games lately and I’m curious about what you all like. There are so many out there - from classic zombie games to newer psychological thrillers. What’s your top pick and why? Maybe it’s the story that hooked you, or the jump scares that kept you on edge. I’d love to hear about your experiences and maybe get some recommendations for my next playthrough. Don’t be shy to share even if it’s an older or less-known title. I’m all ears!

Outlast is my top pick. Sneaking around that asylum with just a camcorder for light? Talk about nerve-wracking. The story twists kept me hooked too.

Gotta go with Amnesia: The Dark Descent. That game messed me up good. No weapons, just hiding and running from stuff you can’t even look at. The sanity mechanic was brilliant too. Made me feel like I was going crazy along with the character. Still get chills thinking about it.

Silent Hill 2 is my go-to. The atmosphere is so creepy, and the story messes with your head. I still think about it years later. Not many games can pull that off.

Alien: Isolation gets my vote. The AI of the alien is terrifying. You never know when it’ll pop up. The retro sci-fi aesthetic is spot-on too.

Resident Evil 4 is a classic. The villagers and chainsaw dudes freaked me out. Plus the inventory management adds to the tension. It’s old but still holds up really well.
