Which non-horror games give you genuine scares?

Hey everyone, I’m curious about your gaming experiences. You know how some games aren’t labeled as horror but still make you jump out of your skin? For me, it’s definitely Subnautica. I mean, come on! You’re swimming in this huge ocean with all sorts of creepy creatures. It’s supposed to be about exploring and surviving, but I’m constantly on edge.

There’s always something lurking in the dark waters, ready to chomp on you. And don’t get me started on those moments when your oxygen is running low, and the screen starts to fade. Talk about panic!

I know I might sound like a scaredy-cat, but this game really gets to me. And now they’re making a sequel? Oh boy, I’m not sure if I’m ready for more underwater terror.

What about you guys? Are there any games that aren’t officially horror but still freak you out? Share your unexpected scares!

Totally get that Subnautica feeling. For me, the Metro series always had those tense moments. Exploring dark tunnels with limited ammo and air filters running out… it’s not horror, but man, the atmosphere gets to you sometimes.

Minecraft can be surprisingly scary. When you’re deep in a cave and hear those zombie groans echoing… man, it gets me every time. And don’t even mention the Endermen. Their creepy stares and teleporting give me the chills.

Fallout 3 had some real jump scares. Those feral ghouls coming out of nowhere in dark subway tunnels. Plus the eerie music in abandoned buildings. Not horror, but definitely creepy at times.

Dude, BioShock gets me every time. You’re just exploring Rapture, minding your own business, when suddenly a splicer jumps out at you. And those Big Daddies? Terrifying when you’re not prepared.

The whole underwater city vibe is creepy as hell too. Always feels like something’s about to go wrong. Not a horror game, but it definitely keeps you on edge.

Half-Life 2 gets pretty intense. Those headcrab zombies are no joke.

Ravenholm level? Pure nightmare fuel. Not a horror game, but it sure feels like one sometimes.
