Which lesser-known indie horror games left a lasting impression?

Hey everyone! I’m a big fan of indie horror games and I’ve played through a bunch from well-known developers. Now I’m looking to discover some hidden gems. What are some indie horror games that really surprised you or stuck with you after playing? I’m talking about games from smaller or less famous developers that you think deserve more attention. Have you come across any that were especially creepy, had unique gameplay, or just a really cool atmosphere? I’d love to hear your recommendations and why they stood out to you. Thanks in advance for sharing your indie horror finds!

Phasmophobia blew me away. Hunting ghosts with friends is terrifying and hilarious. The evidence system keeps you on edge. And those random ghost events… shudder

I really dug ‘Lone Survivor.’ The pixelated graphics somehow make it even creepier. The sound design is top-notch too. It’s like Silent Hill meets 16-bit nostalgia. Definitely worth checking out if you want something different.

Man, ‘The Cat Lady’ really messed me up. It’s this dark point-and-click game that deals with depression and suicide. The art style is super gritty and the story goes to some pretty messed up places. It’s not your typical horror game, but it’s definitely disturbing in its own way. Stuck with me for days after I finished it.

Little Nightmares is a gem. The atmosphere is super creepy.

Those giant enemies and weird environments really stick with you.

Definitely worth playing if you want something unique.

Fran Bow is a hidden gem. The creepy storybook art style and unsettling story really got under my skin. It’s more psychological horror than jump scares, which I think makes it even creepier.
