Which horror game brings you comfort and keeps you coming back?

Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking about horror games that we play over and over, even when they’re not scary anymore. You know, the ones with a vibe so good you can’t resist.

I’m curious about the games you keep revisiting. Maybe it’s the atmosphere that draws you in or the simple gameplay that lets you relax while listening to music or podcasts.

For me, there’s this old-school fast food joint simulator. The retro feel is amazing, and I love how I can just zone out while playing. There’s also this classic indie horror game set in a pizzeria. The camera switching and creepy sounds still give me chills sometimes!

What about you? Got any go-to horror games that feel like a comfy old sweater? Share your favorites!

Silent Hill 2 is my comfort horror game. The foggy town and eerie music just pull me in every time. It’s not super scary anymore, but the atmosphere is perfect for zoning out and enjoying the creepy vibes.

Resident Evil 4 is my go-to comfort horror game. I’ve played it so many times I can practically speedrun it blindfolded. The cheesy dialogue and over-the-top action scenes never get old. Plus, the merchant’s voice is oddly soothing. ‘What are ya buyin’?’ gets me every time.

Layers of Fear does it for me. The creepy artist’s mansion and shifting rooms are oddly relaxing now. I can just wander around and enjoy the twisted artwork without jump scares getting me anymore.

Outlast. Weird comfort game, I know. But hiding in lockers from crazy patients is like a twisted hide-and-seek now. The night vision camera adds a cool vibe too.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is my comfort horror game. I’ve played it so many times that the castle feels like home now. The water monster still gives me chills, but solving puzzles while hiding from grunts is weirdly relaxing.
