Hey everyone! I’m curious about your horror game experiences. We’ve all probably played at least one spooky game that left us with nightmares or made us jump out of our seats. I’m wondering which horror game really got under your skin or left a lasting impression. Was it a classic like Silent Hill or something more recent? What made it so terrifying for you? Maybe it was the atmosphere, the jump scares, or a particularly creepy monster? Share your top picks and why they freaked you out so much!
P.T. still gets me every time. That looping hallway with Lisa’s ghost lurking around… man, it’s next level psychological horror.
The atmosphere is so tense you can cut it with a knife. And those puzzles are cryptic as hell. Really makes you feel like you’re losing your mind.
Shame we never got the full Silent Hills game it was teasing.
Layers of Fear messed me up good. The constantly shifting environment kept me on edge the whole time. Never knew what to expect around each corner. Brilliant psychological horror.
Alien: Isolation for sure. Trying to hide from that xenomorph had me sweating bullets.
The AI was just too good. You never knew where it would pop up next.
Hearing that motion tracker beep faster and faster… pure anxiety!
Amnesia: The Dark Descent really got to me. The whole sanity mechanic where you go crazy in the dark was super intense. Plus those water monsters… I couldn’t play it for more than 30 minutes at a time.
Outlast still haunts me years later. Hiding from those patients in the asylum with just a camera… pure terror. The night vision scenes were so intense.
