Hey fellow horror fans! I’m on the hunt for some spine-chilling indie games to play. There are so many hidden gems out there, and I’d love to hear about your top picks. What indie horror game has left the biggest impact on you? Maybe it’s one with unique gameplay, a super creepy atmosphere, or a story that kept you up at night. I’m open to all suggestions, whether they’re well-known indie hits or obscure titles. Share your favorites and tell me why they’re so great! I’m excited to add some new scary games to my list.
Layers of Fear really messed with my head. The constantly shifting environment and psychological horror elements were intense. Kept me on edge the whole time.
Outlast is a classic for a reason. Sneaking around that asylum with just a camera still gives me chills. The atmosphere is unreal.
SOMA blew me away. The underwater setting is super creepy and the story really makes you think. It’s not just jump scares, but a deep psychological horror that sticks with you.
Phasmophobia is pretty wild if you’re into ghost hunting. The voice recognition and multiplayer make it feel super real. Gets my heart racing every time I play.
Gotta throw my vote in for Amnesia: The Dark Descent. That game basically defined the modern indie horror genre. The sanity mechanic where you go crazy in the dark was genius.
No weapons, just you trying not to lose your mind while hiding from monsters. Still holds up today if you ask me.
