What unique setting and genre mix would you choose for a new Soulsborne-style game?

Hey everyone! I’ve been daydreaming about Soulsborne games lately and I had a fun thought. What if we could create our own game in that style? I’m curious to hear your ideas!

If you had the chance to design a Soulsborne-inspired game, what setting would you pick? Would you stick with dark fantasy or try something totally different?

Also, what other genres would you mix in? Maybe add some sci-fi elements, or lean more into horror? Or how about a dash of mystery or even comedy?

I’d love to hear your creative ideas! Just keep things family-friendly, please. Let’s see what cool concepts we can come up with!

A Norse mythology Soulsborne sounds awesome. Battling frost giants and draugr through Yggdrasil’s realms would be epic. With puzzles based on runes and magic, it gives a unique twist. Wielding Mjolnir against Fenrir sounds wild.

A cyberpunk dystopia would be sweet for a Soulsborne game. Imagine fighting through a neon-lit megacity with katanas and cybernetic implants. Could mix in some hacking mechanics too.

Steampunk Soulsborne could be pretty cool. Victorian-era cities with creepy mechanical monsters and gadgets as weapons. Throw in some Lovecraftian horror vibes and you’ve got a unique spin on the formula.

Thought of a wild west Soulsborne. Gunslinging outlaws facing off against twisted creatures in a harsh desert landscape. Could mix in some Native American mythology for the bosses and lore. Imagine dueling a monstrous cactus demon at high noon or exploring abandoned gold mines full of horrors.

Ancient Mayan-inspired setting could work well.

Lots of dense jungles, crumbling temples, and strange rituals.

Mix in some time travel elements for extra twists.
