Hey everyone! I just remembered that Subnautica is actually labeled as a horror game. It got me thinking about all the creepy and intense moments I’ve had while playing. I’m really curious to hear about your experiences too. What parts of the game made your heart race or gave you goosebumps? Maybe it was a close call with a leviathan or exploring a dark cave system? Share your most memorable scary moments from Subnautica!
The blood kelp zones still give me the creeps. That eerie music and those weird glowing plants make it feel like you’re in some alien world. Plus, those crabsquids are nightmare fuel with their weird noises and glowing eyes. I always try to avoid those areas unless I absolutely have to go there.
Man, those warpers still freak me out. Something about how they just appear outta nowhere and make that weird sound. Always makes me panic and scramble to get away. The ocean’s scary enough without teleporting aliens chasing you!
The crash fish. Those little terrors come out of nowhere!
First time one exploded near me, I nearly fell off my chair.
Still get jumpy every time I see their nests.
The first time I went into the deep dark. That moment when you can’t see the surface anymore and weird noises start. Pure terror. Felt so small and lost down there.
The first time I encountered a Reaper Leviathan, I nearly jumped out of my seat. That roar is nightmare fuel. I spent the next hour hugging the seafloor, paranoid it was still out there somewhere. Subnautica really nails that feeling of being small in a vast, dangerous ocean.
