What features would make a new racing game more engaging?

Hey folks, I’ve been thinking about what makes a racing game really pull you in. Sure, good gameplay and smooth racing are key, but what else keeps you coming back?

For me, I’d love to see:

  1. A live ticker showing where everyone is in the race. It’d be cool to know who’s in 3rd or 35th when I’m running 22nd.

  2. Info on what the AI drivers are up to during pit stops or cautions. Are they pitting? What’s their strategy?

  3. Details on cautions happening elsewhere on the track. Who crashed? How bad was it? Maybe even a replay?

  4. Realistic damage and consequences for AI cars. If they wreck, they should pit or even DNF, not just keep racing like nothing happened.

What about you guys? What would make the game feel more real and keep you hooked?

Man, I’d love to see more customization options for the cars. Not just visuals, but being able to tweak engine parts, suspension, and even tire compounds. It’d be cool to really feel how your tweaks affect the car’s performance on different tracks. Plus, it’d give you something to work towards between races.

I’d be super into a racing game with a weather system that changes during races. Like suddenly it starts raining halfway through and you gotta adjust your driving. That’d make every race feel different and keep things exciting.

Dynamic track conditions would be awesome. Imagine racing lines changing as rubber builds up, or parts of the track getting slippery from oil spills. It’d add a whole new layer of strategy.
