I’ve been playing a bunch of 4X strategy games lately and I’m curious about what makes them awesome for you. Like, what parts of these games really suck you in?
Is it the way you can talk to other leaders and make deals? Or maybe the big fights that happen? Or do you just love building up your empire and watching it grow?
I’m also wondering if you care about the game’s story or how it looks. Do you get excited about researching new stuff in the tech trees?
Have you played any new 4X games that really blew your mind? What made them so good?
Let me know what you think! I’m always looking for new games to try out.
For me, it’s all about building up my empire from scratch. Love seeing my tiny settlement grow into a sprawling civilization over time. Tech trees are cool too, especially when you unlock game-changing stuff. The diplomacy can be fun, but I’m not big on the combat usually.
I’m a sucker for deep tech trees and meaningful choices. Nothing beats that feeling when you unlock a game-changing tech after careful planning.
I also dig complex economy systems where you have to juggle resources and trade. The combat can be fun, but for me it’s more about the long-term strategy of building up my civ.
Lately I’ve been playing Old World. The dynasty mechanics add a cool twist to the usual 4X formula.
