Was BF1 the highest point of the entire series?

I’ve been playing this franchise for years now, starting from Bad Company 2 and going through each release. After experiencing all these different games, I really feel like BF1 represents the absolute best the series has ever been. The atmosphere was incredible, the gameplay felt perfectly balanced, and everything just clicked together in a way that hasn’t been matched since. The World War 1 setting brought something fresh and unique that really made it stand out. I’m curious if other long-time players feel the same way about this particular entry being the pinnacle of what the franchise could achieve.

I still jump back into BF1 for Operations matches. Nothing beats charging across no man’s land with that epic music pumping.

BF1 was solid but I think BF3 nailed it. The maps and weapon balance in that game were really something else.

BF4 had its highs, but BF1’s vibe was truly special.

BF1 and Bad Company 2 are tough to compare. BF1 nailed that cinematic vibe and the atmosphere was on point. But BC2’s destruction and those intense Rush maps were fantastic in their own right. And let’s be real, BF1’s sound design? Absolutely top-notch, especially with those artillery shells flying by. It’s a tough choice for sure.
