I know it sounds weird, but I think third-person games are way more immersive than first-person ones. Here’s why:
In first-person games, I feel like I’m just a floating camera. I can’t tell if I’m crouching or standing, or if enemies can see me. The movement is too smooth and doesn’t feel real. It’s like I’m not even in a body.
But in third-person games, I can see my character. I know exactly what they’re doing and where they are. It’s easier to imagine myself as that person. I can relate to their movements and how they fit into the world.
What do you guys think? Am I crazy for feeling this way? Do you find first-person or third-person games more immersive?
Totally get what you mean. Third-person lets you see your character’s reactions and how they interact with the world. It’s like watching a movie where you control the main character.
I can see your point, but it really depends on the game for me. Some first-person shooters are super immersive, while some third-person games feel clunky. It’s all about how well the devs nail the controls and camera.
I’ve always been more of a first-person guy myself. There’s something about seeing the world through my character’s eyes that just clicks for me. But I get where you’re coming from. Third-person games can definitely give you a better sense of your character’s place in the world. It really comes down to personal preference and the type of game, I guess.
