Starfield let me down after trying Mass Effect

So I played Starfield for like a month and thought it was pretty cool. The way it sucked me in was awesome. But then I saw all these people hating on it online. I was confused.

Then I tried Mass Effect. Holy crap. That game came out way back in 2007 and it’s still amazing. Now I get why folks are mad about Starfield.

Starfield does the same stuff as Mass Effect, but it’s 2023. They should’ve done way more. I think they tried to make the game universe too big and forgot about making it actually fun.

I still dig Starfield, but man, Mass Effect showed me what a space game can really be. Anyone else feel the same way?

Yeah, Mass Effect’s pretty awesome. Starfield’s got its own thing going on though. I like both for different reasons. Mass Effect nails the story and characters, while Starfield lets you just wander and do your own thing. Kinda apples and oranges, you know?

Played both. Starfield’s big but feels empty sometimes. Mass Effect’s story and characters are hard to beat. Still, Starfield’s exploration is fun. Guess it depends on what you’re looking for in a space game.

I get where you’re coming from. Mass Effect’s tight narrative and character-driven gameplay set a high bar for space RPGs. Starfield’s more about exploration and player-driven stories.

Bethesda games usually excel at world-building and freedom, but sometimes lack in other areas. It’s hard to compare them directly since they’re aiming for different experiences.

Mass Effect’s a classic for good reason though. If you liked it, definitely check out the whole trilogy.
