Should I get Overcooked game for Mac - solo or co-op play?

I’m thinking about buying one of the Overcooked games but I have some questions before I decide. First, is it fun to play by yourself or does it get boring without other people? Second, if my boyfriend wants to join me, can we both play on my Mac using the same computer? I only have a Mac laptop and no gaming console, so that’s my only option right now. I keep reading different things online and now I’m not sure if it’s worth getting. I was leaning toward the second one since I heard it has online multiplayer, but I’m still unsure about the whole thing. Any advice would be helpful.

Both games run great on Mac but you’ll want a co-op partner eventually. The chaos is where these games shine. You can share a keyboard, but it gets cramped fast. If you can, grab a cheap controller. Solo’s fine for learning levels, but the real fun starts when you’re both frantically scrambling to fill orders.

Go with the second one for sure. You’ll have multiplayer options when your boyfriend’s busy, plus the levels are way better. Solo play works but honestly you’re missing the point. Local co-op runs fine on Mac - just be ready to argue about who screwed up the salad order.

Solo gets repetitive fast but local co-op on Mac works great with two controllers or shared keyboard

I played through most of the first one solo and had a blast, though juggling multiple characters by yourself gets pretty tricky. The Mac version runs smooth and you can definitely do local co-op with your boyfriend.

It’s basically a relationship test disguised as a cooking game

Second one for sure. Solo’s fine for a while, but it’s way better when someone’s yelling at you about burning the onions.
