Hey everyone! I’m really torn between these two cooking games right now. Both Overcooked! 2 and PlateUp! are currently discounted on Steam, and I have enough budget for just one of them. I’ve been watching some gameplay videos, but I’m still not sure which one would give me more fun for my money.
I really enjoy chaotic multiplayer games, and the cooking mechanics look interesting in both titles. Has anyone here played both games? I’m curious about things like replay value, how fun they are with friends, and overall gameplay experience. Which one would you recommend and why? Any major differences I should know about before making my decision? Thanks for any advice!
Depends what you’re after. Overcooked 2’s pure chaos - everyone screaming and laughing while stuff burns. PlateUp’s more about actually building something together over multiple sessions. Want instant fun with friends? Go Overcooked 2. Want something you’ll keep playing solo? PlateUp’s your pick.
Both games scratch different itches. Overcooked 2’s perfect when you want chaotic arcade fun, PlateUp’s better if you’re craving something deeper with actual customization.
I’ve sunk countless hours into both. Overcooked 2 is brutal chaos that’ll destroy friendships in the best way - those hand-crafted levels are insane. PlateUp feels like actually running a restaurant where you’re always upgrading and tweaking things. Both are awesome with friends, but Overcooked 2’s perfect for party nights since anyone can jump in.
