Hey fellow gamers! I’m a huge fan of scary video games. There’s something about the heart-pounding thrill and the fight to stay alive that really gets me going. I’m looking to add some new titles to my collection.
What creepy games have you been playing lately? Are there any that left you sleeping with the lights on? Or maybe some hidden gems you think more people should try?
I’m open to all types - from jump-scare filled horror to psychological thrillers. Bonus points if they have a good story or unique gameplay mechanics.
Let’s swap some recommendations and maybe find our next favorite nightmare fuel!
Alien Isolation is super tense. The alien AI is really unpredictable, so you never feel safe. SOMA is another good one if you want more psychological horror. It’s got a creepy underwater setting and some mind-bending story elements.
Outlast is pure nightmare fuel. The night vision camera mechanic adds so much tension. You’re constantly on edge, never knowing what’s around the next corner. Definitely kept me up at night!
Layers of Fear is pretty trippy. The constantly changing environment really messes with your head. Never knew what to expect around each corner. Cool artistic style too. Definitely worth checking out if you want something different.
Man, I’ve been on a horror game binge lately. Layers of Fear really messed with my head. The way the environment changes when you’re not looking is so disorienting.
I also tried SOMA recently. It’s not just scary, it’s got this deep, unsettling vibe that sticks with you. The underwater setting is creepy as hell.
If you want something different, check out The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. It’s more mystery than horror, but it’s got some seriously eerie moments.
