Hey everyone! October’s here and I’m feeling the Halloween spirit. I want to dive into a creepy game but can’t decide which one to play. I’ve got four options in my library:
Resident Evil Village
Outlast
Amnesia: Rebirth
The Last of Us (I know it’s not strictly horror, but it’s got some intense moments)
Which one would you go for if you were in my shoes? I’m looking for something that’ll give me a good scare without being too overwhelming. Maybe share your experiences if you’ve played any of these? I’m really curious to hear what the community thinks!

Out of those, I’d go with Resident Evil Village. It’s got a nice balance of scares and action, plus some cool gothic vibes that fit Halloween perfectly. The atmosphere is creepy without being too intense, and there’s enough variety to keep things interesting. Just be ready for some weird stuff - it gets pretty wild towards the end!
The Last of Us is a solid pick. It’s got tense moments and a gripping story. Not full-on horror, but definitely unsettling at times. Great for Halloween if you want scares without constant terror.
Outlast is intense. I played it with headphones on and nearly jumped out of my skin a few times. The night vision camera mechanic adds to the creepy vibe. If you want pure horror, that’s the one to go for.
