Searching for a 2010+ dystopian sci-fi PC game with a robot protagonist

Hey everyone! I’m trying to find this old PC game from around 2010 or later. It’s a profile or top-down view game set in a dystopian sci-fi world. The main character is either a robot or a person in a robot suit. They fly around destroying other robots.

The coolest part was the intercom dialogue with a companion. It added a lot to the atmosphere. The robot suit design was pretty unique too. It had this sleek, futuristic look that I can’t quite describe, but it’s stuck in my head.

Does anyone remember a game like this? I’ve been searching for ages and can’t seem to find it. Any help would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

I think I might know the game you’re talking about. It sounds a lot like Transistor. It’s got that isometric view, dystopian sci-fi vibe, and a really unique art style. The main character uses this big sword-like thing that talks to her. The combat’s a mix of real-time and turn-based stuff. It came out in 2014, so it fits your timeframe. If that’s not it, maybe check out some other Supergiant games. They’ve got a pretty distinct style that matches what you’re describing.

Sounds kinda like Primordia, but that’s more point-and-click. The flying and shooting part reminds me of Nier: Automata, though that’s a bit newer. Hard to pin down exactly without more details. Any other bits you remember about the gameplay or story?

Transistor’s a good guess. Maybe check out Vanquish too?

It’s a third-person shooter from 2010 with a cool robot suit and lots of flying around. The dialogue and atmosphere were pretty sweet.
