So me and my buddies decided to create our own Lethal Company experience in real life and it was awesome!
We basically turned thrift shopping into the game. Everyone got a list of random items they had to hunt down at different thrift stores around town. Just like in the game, we had to meet our quota by finding everything on our lists as close as possible to what was written down.
The best part was we brought walkie talkies with us so we could communicate while searching through all the junk. We kept asking each other questions about whether certain items counted or if we found something close enough to what was on our lists.
We also made some food at home that matched the game theme. The whole thing felt like we were actually playing Lethal Company but in real life. This game has been bringing our group together almost every evening and we always end up laughing or getting scared. Had to share this idea because it was such a fun way to experience the game outside of just playing it on our computers.
This is brilliant! Love how thrift shopping becomes intense once you add game mechanics. The quota system’s perfect for capturing that Company pressure. Now I’m thinking about doing this with other games - like a Stardew Valley version at farmers markets.
This is such a creative way to bring the game into real life! A thrift store’s perfect for this - you’re already digging through random stuff, just like scavenging in the game.
Love how you nailed the corporate dystopia with that quota system! The walkie talkie setup is perfect - definitely beats dealing with actual monsters. I’m totally stealing this idea, maybe throw in some time pressure to make it feel even more like the game.
