I’ve been playing Pummel Party with my friends and we’re wondering about the reward system for mini-games. Is there a way to modify how items are distributed after completing mini-games? What I’m thinking is something like having only the top performing players receive rewards while others don’t get anything. For instance, could we set it up so that players who finish in positions 1 through 6 get items, but players who come in 7th or 8th place walk away empty-handed? We want to make the competition more intense by limiting who gets the goodies. Has anyone figured out if this kind of customization is possible in the game settings? I’ve looked through the options but couldn’t find anything obvious.
You’re out of luck with that customization. I’ve spent tons of time in Pummel Party and the item distribution is locked down. Want something more competitive? Try side challenges or bets that don’t rely on the game’s reward system.
Yeah, the reward system’s pretty locked down. We tried creating our own rules but it got messy when people forgot to follow them.
Nah, there’s no built-in way to customize rewards like that. The game automatically handles item distribution after each mini-game. You could house rule it - make last place discard items or whatever - but everyone would need to self-police. Easier to just agree on punishments for whoever finishes last.
Maybe try a different party game if you want that level of customization? Pummel Party keeps it simple.
It sounds like a fun idea, but I don’t think the game lets you tweak the reward distribution like that.
