Hey everyone! I’m looking for a new horror survival game to dive into. The last one I played was Alan Wake Remastered, and I really enjoyed the story-driven experience. I’ve heard a lot about the Resident Evil series, but I’ve never played any of the games before. I’m wondering if it’s a good fit for someone who enjoys a strong narrative along with survival horror elements.
Can anyone tell me if the Resident Evil games offer a good balance of story and gameplay? Also, I’m curious about the value for money - are the main games and DLCs worth the investment in terms of playtime? Any recommendations on which Resident Evil game to start with would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your input!
RE games are solid for horror and story. I’ve played most of them and they’re pretty intense. The newer ones like RE7 and Village are especially good if you want a creepy vibe with some interesting plot twists. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into that kind of thing.
RE games definitely blend story and gameplay well. They’re packed with tense moments and cool lore. For a newcomer, I’d suggest starting with RE2 Remake. It’s a great intro to the series.
RE games are pretty sweet for horror and story. I’ve played a bunch and they definitely deliver on the scares. The newer ones like RE7 and Village are super intense. If you’re into creepy vibes and cool plot twists, you’ll dig 'em. Totally worth checking out.
Resident Evil is a classic for a reason. The games mix creepy atmospheres, puzzles, and resource management with some wild storylines. If you want a modern take, try RE7 or the RE2 remake. They’re both scary and fun, with decent stories to keep you hooked. Just be ready for some cheesy dialogue and over-the-top moments. That’s part of the charm!
