Need recommendations for scary indie games to play

Hey everyone! I’m searching for some good indie horror titles to add to my playlist. I’ve already enjoyed quite a few spooky games and want to discover more hidden gems.

Some games I really loved include:

  • Little Nightmares series

  • The Forest
  • Still Wakes the Deep
  • Tormented Souls
  • Song of Horror
  • World of Horror
  • Maid of Sker
  • Devotion
  • Don’t Be Afraid
  • Slay the Princess
  • Murder House
  • Mortuary Assistant
  • Subnautica (I know it’s not pure horror but has those scary moments)

I also played several RPG Maker classics like Corpse Party, IB, Mad Father, Misao, and The Witch’s House.

From older titles I enjoyed Fatal Frame, Rule of Rose, Clock Tower, Haunting Ground, Silent Hill series, Resident Evil games, Alone in the Dark, Cry of Fear, and Parasite Eve.

What would you suggest based on these preferences? Looking forward to your recommendations!

Phasmophobia hits different when you’re playing solo. The ghost hunting gets really tense when you’re alone in those dark houses.

Iron Lung is solid if you want something short but intense. Pure claustrophobic terror.

If you’re into indie horror, check out Little Misfortune. It’s got a unique vibe and some creepy moments that’ll stick with you.

Dredge might be up your alley since you liked Subnautica’s creepy underwater vibes

Signalis is worth checking out if you’re into psychological horror. It’s got Silent Hill vibes but with sci-fi elements. Also try The Night Door - it’s got that RPG Maker classic feel you liked but way more polished.
