Did they have a unique backstory or design? Or was it their role in the game that made them unforgettable? Share your picks and let’s chat about what makes these indie horror characters so special!
The Little Nightmares games have some really memorable characters. Six, the main character in the yellow raincoat, is so tiny but still brave. And those creepy tall enemies are nightmare fuel. The whole vibe is unsettling in the best way.
Definitely Sally Face from the game series. That kid’s design is super unique with the mask, and his story is pretty messed up. The way he deals with all the weird stuff in his apartment building is wild.
Gotta give a shout-out to Mae from Night in the Woods. She’s not your typical horror game character, but man, the existential dread and small-town weirdness she deals with really get under your skin. Plus, her snarky attitude and struggles with mental health make her feel super real. The game’s mix of cozy and creepy vibes is spot-on too.
Fran Bow from the game with the same name. Her journey through mental illness and surreal worlds really stuck with me. Creepy but also touching.
The janitor from Outlast is pretty unforgettable. That dude’s creepy mumbling and relentless pursuit gave me chills. The way he pops up when you least expect it really adds to the tension.
