MindsEye Game Gets Poor Reviews Due to UE5 Performance Issues

I’ve been looking into MindsEye and noticed it has terrible performance problems across all platforms. The game is getting hammered in reviews because of these technical issues.

PC Problems:

  • Even powerful gaming PCs can’t maintain smooth framerates at 1440p with medium graphics
  • DLSS features cause more problems than they solve with stuttering and input delays
  • The optimization is so bad that lowering resolution doesn’t help much

Console Issues:

  • PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles drop frames during action scenes
  • Loading screens take way too long and break immersion
  • Series S version looks particularly bad with fuzzy graphics

Technical Bugs:

  • Enemy AI gets confused and characters clip through walls
  • Game crashes when switching between different gameplay modes
  • Controls feel unresponsive especially during combat

It seems like another case where Unreal Engine 5 games launch with major performance problems. Has anyone else experienced these issues or found any workarounds?

UE5 seems to be the new Unity for poorly optimized launches lately

Same thing happened with Lords of the Fallen recently. UE5 games just seem to need way more dev time than studios are giving them.

Yeah I’ve been holding off on buying it because of all the performance complaints. Really frustrating when a game looks interesting but runs like garbage. I remember when Dead Space remake had similar UE5 issues at launch but they actually fixed most of them with patches. Maybe MindsEye will get better over time but honestly I’m getting tired of being a beta tester for broken releases.
