Hey everyone! I’m searching for some amazing dark fantasy games to dive into next. Just finished putting over 300 hours into Skyrim and I’m craving something fresh but in the same genre. What are your absolute favorite dark fantasy titles that you’d recommend? I’m open to different styles whether they’re RPGs, action games, or whatever as long as they have that dark atmospheric fantasy vibe. Really want to find something that will keep me hooked for hours like Skyrim did. Would love to hear what games you all think are must-plays in this category. Dark Souls trilogy hits different when you want that brutal fantasy atmosphere
Dragon’s Dogma has this perfect mix of fantasy adventure with some genuinely creepy moments. The nights get pitch black and you’ll hear things stalking you that you can’t see. Plus the whole world has this underlying sense of dread even during the day. Really scratched that itch for me when I wanted something darker than your typical fantasy game.
Witcher 3 sounds perfect for you coming off Skyrim. The world is gorgeous but has this really gritty dark tone throughout.
