Looking for relaxing RPGs with exploration and nature elements?

Hey everyone! I’m on the hunt for a game that I can really get lost in during my downtime. What I’m searching for is an RPG that has that peaceful, atmospheric vibe where you can wander around and collect herbs or do some farming stuff.

I really enjoyed games like Stardew Valley and Sun Haven, but they felt a bit too simple for what I want. I’m craving something with more open world exploration and deeper character development systems. You know that amazing feeling when you first started playing Skyrim? Just wandering the landscape, gathering ingredients, stumbling across random encounters, and completely ignoring the main storyline? That’s exactly the experience I’m trying to recapture.

Anyone know of games that scratch this particular itch? Or maybe some good Skyrim overhaul mods that could give me that fresh experience again? Really appreciate any recommendations you can throw my way!

Outward’s got that survival exploration vibe - tons of herb gathering and the world feels really immersive

The Witcher 3 is a great choice for that vibe. There’s so much to explore, and you’ll find yourself gathering herbs and doing alchemy without even realizing how much time has passed.

Enderal’s a fantastic choice if you’re looking for that fresh Skyrim vibe but want something different. It’s a total conversion mod that feels like a whole new game. Kingdom Come: Deliverance could be great too, with tons of herb gathering and exploration in a rich medieval setting that’s got some solid RPG depth.
