I’ve been really into dystopian science fiction adventure games recently. I finished playing a few titles in this genre and they really clicked with me. The dark futuristic settings and storylines are exactly what I’m looking for in gaming right now.
I’m hoping someone here can point me toward similar games that have that same dystopian atmosphere and sci-fi themes. I’m particularly interested in adventure style games rather than action or strategy titles.
My gaming setup is mainly iPad Air M2, so games that run on iOS would be perfect. I also have ScummVM installed, so classic adventure games that work with that emulator are definitely an option too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
If you’re looking for something more recent, check out Nova-111. It’s got a unique twist with turn-based elements and a cool sci-fi vibe. Runs well on iOS and is really fun to play!
Beneath a Steel Sky is a perfect pick for what you’re after. It’s a classic cyberpunk adventure that runs smoothly on ScummVM, giving you that gritty dystopian vibe. If you’re up for something more recent, the sequel Beyond a Steel Sky is available on iOS too. Both have fantastic stories and that dark atmosphere you’re eager to explore.
SOMA’s exactly what you want. Haunting underwater dystopia that’ll get under your skin. The whole consciousness/humanity thing will mess with your head for weeks after you finish it. No clue about iOS though - you’d have to check that yourself.
