Hey everyone! I’m trying to track down a game I saw in a popular video essay. It’s set in this wild sci-fi world that’s shaped like a ring. The whole setup is pretty unique:
People live on the inside of this giant ring structure
The city’s got this cool cyberpunk vibe with lots of neon and tall buildings
There’s a ‘normal’ part of the city and a creepy infected zone that glows red
The gameplay sounds really interesting too. You’re trying to escape the city by doing tasks for different characters. You have to make choices about which tasks to do because you’re on a time limit. Some missions even make you go into the dangerous infected area!
Even though parts of the city seem normal, with a working society and economy, it’s still a pretty grim dystopian setting.
I remember the video mentioning dialogue options that can change how the story plays out. One character you interact with is definitely a mechanic.
Does this ring any bells for anyone? I’m pretty sure it’s on Steam (2019-2024), but I can’t remember the exact name. Any help would be awesome!
Citizen Sleeper is definitely the one. It’s got that unique ring-world setting and all the dystopian vibes you mentioned. The time pressure and choices really make it stand out. I loved how each cycle felt like a gamble, trying to balance survival with unraveling the story. The infected zones were seriously creepy too. If you’re into narrative-driven games with a sci-fi twist, you’ll probably dig it.
Sounds like Citizen Sleeper. Ring-world, dystopian future, infected zones… it’s got all that. Super atmospheric game with cool choices and consequences.
Citizen Sleeper’s a gem. The ring-world and infected zones are super atmospheric. I loved how every choice felt important, especially with that time pressure. It’s not just another sci-fi game, it really makes you think.
Citizen Sleeper is pretty cool. The whole ring-world thing is really unique. I liked how you have to manage your time and resources while trying to figure out the story. The infected areas definitely add some tension to the game.
Man, Citizen Sleeper is such a trip. That ring-world setup is crazy unique.
I dug how it blends that cyberpunk aesthetic with some really tense survival elements. The whole infected zone thing adds this constant sense of dread.
What really got me was how your choices actually matter. You’re always weighing risks against rewards, trying to figure out who to trust. It’s not just another sci-fi game, it’s got some real depth to it.
Citizen Sleeper’s a wild ride. The ring-world concept is pretty mind-bending. Loved how every decision feels like it matters. Those infected zones? Seriously creepy stuff.
