Just finished Dragon Age: Veilguard and I'm kinda disappointed...

Hey folks, I’ve been gaming for ages and RPGs are my jam. I’ve played tons of them, from Mass Effect to Baldur’s Gate 3. But man, Veilguard just ain’t doing it for me.

I’m like 25 hours in and it’s starting to feel like a chore. The world feels small and the quests are just meh. It’s like they’re trying to be Dragon Age but missing the mark.

The writing is just okay. I’m not really feeling the characters or their stories. It’s nothing like the older Dragon Age games or other big RPGs where you really get invested.

Combat is pretty basic too. It looks flashy but there’s not much depth to it.

I’m just powering through the main story now. Might go back to it later, but I’m not sure.

Anyone else feel the same way? Or am I just being too picky? Let me know what you think if you’ve played it!

Man, I hear you. Veilguard was a letdown for me too. After all the hype, I was expecting something epic, but it felt like a budget version of the old Dragon Age games. The combat looks cool at first, but gets stale fast. And the story? Meh. I pushed through to the end hoping it would get better, but it never really did. Kinda makes you appreciate the classics even more, huh?

Totally get it. Veilguard didn’t click for me either. The quests felt repetitive and the world kinda empty. I ended up going back to Baldur’s Gate 3 for my RPG fix.

Yeah Veilguard was a bit of a miss for me too. The combat looked flashy but got old quick. I ended up going back to replay Inquisition instead. At least that had some memorable characters and quests. Maybe they’ll patch Veilguard to make it better later on.
