Okay, so I know everyone’s hyped about GTA 6, but let’s put that aside for a sec.
Am I the only one who feels like Subnautica 2 is the only upcoming game that’s got me pumped?
I mean, don’t get me wrong, there are tons of new games coming out. But nothing’s really grabbing me like Subnautica did. It’s got that special something, you know? That feeling of exploring and discovering new things that I haven’t experienced since playing games like Mass Effect 2 or Elden Ring.
It seems like a lot of big game series are just… meh these days. They seem more like cash grabs rather than experiences with engaging worlds and stories. (Looking at you, Starfield
)
Maybe I’m just getting old and grumpy, but what do you guys think?
Nah, you’re not alone. Subnautica 2 is definitely on my radar too. But I’m also pretty stoked for a few others. The new Fable game looks promising, and I’ve got high hopes for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Still, I get what you mean about big franchises feeling stale. It’s like they’re churning out sequels without the magic that made the originals special. Indie games often bring that fresh feeling nowadays.
I’m actually pretty pumped for a few games coming up. Subnautica 2 looks sweet, but have you seen the trailer for Hades 2? That’s got me hyped. And Dragon’s Dogma 2 might be awesome too. There’s still cool stuff out there if you look beyond the big franchises.
Subnautica 2 does look amazing.
But I’m also pretty excited for the new Hollow Knight.
There’s still some good stuff coming out if you dig a bit.
