I recently discovered something amazing about the Fears to Fathom horror game series. I’ve been a huge fan of these games and watched tons of international streamers playing them online. The games always felt so polished and well-made that I assumed they came from a big Western studio. But then I found out that the entire series was actually developed by an Indian indie team called Rayll Studio, which operates out of South Delhi. This blew my mind because the quality is so high and the games have gained such massive popularity worldwide. It’s incredible to see Indian developers creating content that resonates globally and gets recognized by major gaming communities. Has anyone else been surprised by learning about the origins of games they love?
The scares hit different when you know it’s just a handful of people crafting everything. Makes me wonder what other solid horror games are flying under the radar from smaller studios.

A lot of people overlook the incredible talent in indie games outside the mainstream scenes. The production values are really surprising and it makes you curious about what other hidden treasures there are from developers we might not know about.
