Is it possible to stay current with modding for Bethesda games anymore?

I feel completely lost when trying to mod any Bethesda game except Skyrim Special Edition. With Skyrim SE I can keep track of what mods are good and which ones to avoid. I know stuff like FNIS got replaced by Nemesis, and now Pandora is taking over. ENB is being replaced by Community Shaders in many cases. Immersive Citizens got replaced by AI Overhaul because it was causing problems. Wet and Cold crashes games so people avoid it now. SkyClimb got replaced by SkyParkour v2 for climbing mechanics.

But when I try to mod other games like Morrowind, New Vegas, or Fallout 4, I have no clue what mods are still good to use. Some mods might look popular but could be outdated or replaced by better alternatives. Others might not have been updated in years but still work perfectly fine. The modding scene moves so fast now that it feels impossible to keep up with every game. Does anyone else struggle with this or have tips for staying current with mod recommendations across multiple Bethesda titles?

Wabbajack modlists are perfect for this. Someone else already figured out what works together.

I stick to one or two games max for modding. Trying to track everything will burn you out fast. Pick whatever you actually want to play right now and focus on that community. Each game’s mod scene has its own rhythm - you’ve got to live in it to know what’s current. Check out recent modding videos or guides for whatever game you’re diving into next.

Yeah, switching between games is a pain. I just check the game-specific subreddits when I’m modding something new. People there are great at flagging broken or outdated mods.
