I think RDR2 is amazing but I'm not really enjoying it. Anyone else feel this way?

Hey folks, I’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for about 45 hours now and I’m thinking of quitting. Don’t get me wrong, the game is incredible in so many ways. The world feels super real and alive, the graphics are awesome, and the story is great. But for some reason, I’m just not having fun.

Everything feels so slow and clunky. The controls are weird and the shooting doesn’t feel right to me. There are so many little things to keep track of, it’s kind of overwhelming. The missions are really linear too, which is strange for such an open world game.

I loved the first Red Dead, so I thought I’d love this one even more. But I’m just not feeling it. Every time I think about playing, I feel kinda meh about it.

Has anyone else felt this way? Am I missing something? I feel bad for not enjoying it as much as everyone else seems to. Maybe it’s just not my thing?

I totally get where you’re coming from. RDR2 is a masterpiece in many ways, but it’s not for everyone. The pacing is super slow and the controls can be frustrating. I ended up taking long breaks and coming back to it. That helped me appreciate the good parts without getting bogged down. But if you’re not feeling it after 45 hours, it might just not be your thing. No shame in that.

I get that. RDR2 is super detailed but can feel sluggish. The realism is cool but sometimes slows things down too much. Maybe try focusing on side activities or exploration if the main story isn’t grabbing you? Sometimes a change of pace helps.

Yeah, it’s not just you. RDR2 is beautiful but can be a slog.

I ended up enjoying it more when I stopped trying to do everything and just messed around in the world.

Maybe give that a shot before quitting?
