I randomly thought of an idea while gaming recently. In the original game, you see these female characters basically appearing in the world and immediately aiming to find a strong guy to take care of them. This made me wonder how a dating sim featuring these characters would function. Would they still show that same urgency? What would the romance system look like with characters so focused on securing a provider from the get-go? I believe it could lead to some intriguing storylines, and I’m eager to hear what others think about this idea. Has anyone else considered how these characters would fit into a romance game?
That would be wild, imagine speedrunning romance routes where they’re already convinced by day 2
I think the real twist would be dealing with multiple characters who all have the same goal but completely different personalities underneath. Like maybe one is super clingy from day one while another tries to play it cool despite having the same desperation. The drama could come from them competing against each other instead of you chasing after them.
Sounds like it could flip the whole dating sim formula on its head. Most games make you work for affection but this would be more about navigating their expectations and whether you actually want that kind of relationship.
Would be funny if rejection wasn’t even an option in the dialogue trees
The whole provider dynamic could actually make for some really unique gameplay mechanics. Instead of the usual slow burn where you’re trying to win someone over, you’d be dealing with characters who are already interested but for specific reasons. Could create some interesting moral choices about whether you’re cool with that arrangement or if you want something deeper. The challenge wouldn’t be getting their attention, it’d be figuring out if there’s real compatibility beyond the survival instinct stuff.
