Hear me out: Third person view makes Arc Raiders even better

I know a lot of folks are bummed about Arc Raiders not being first-person, but I think the third-person view is what makes this game really shine. Here’s why:

  1. It’s perfect for the chaotic gameplay. With all the crazy stuff going on - other players, robot enemies, wild weather, and tricky terrain - you can actually see what’s happening around you. Makes it way easier to watch your back while helping teammates or grabbing loot.

  2. Moving around is more fun. Dodging, climbing, and sliding just feel better when you can see your character doing it. Plus, the game looks awesome. The animations are top-notch, especially stuff like stumbling after a big fall or struggling to reach the extract computer when you’re down.

  3. Character customization matters more. In first-person games, you’re basically just a floating gun. Here, you get to see your cool outfit in action.

  4. It makes the game unique. Sure, it changes how fights feel, but that’s what makes Arc Raiders different from other shooters. It’s doing its own thing, and I dig that.

What do you guys think? Am I crazy for loving the third-person view?

Totally agree. The third-person view really makes Arc Raiders stand out.

It’s so satisfying to see your character pull off those wild moves.

And yeah, it definitely helps keep track of all the chaos going on around you.

I’m with you on this one. Third-person view in Arc Raiders really adds to the experience. It’s not just about seeing your character, it’s about situational awareness. When you’re in the thick of it, being able to spot incoming threats from all angles is crucial.

Plus, the movement in this game is insane. Watching your character pull off those crazy moves and parkour-style maneuvers is half the fun. It’s like you’re directing your own action movie sometimes.

The only downside I’ve found is that it can make precise aiming a bit trickier in some situations. But overall, I think it was the right call for this game.
