Got any unpopular opinions about video games?

Hey gamers! I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. You know how everyone has that one game opinion that makes others go ‘Wait, what?’ Well, I’ve got one that might surprise you.

I’m a huge fan of a certain fps series. Played almost all the games. But here’s the kicker: my favorite isn’t the one most people pick. It’s the black sheep of the family.

I love how it slows things down, focuses on creepy sci-fi vibes, and really digs into the story. The tight spaces make my heart race. Plus, the way they tell the story through the environment? Chef’s kiss.

What about you guys? Any game opinions that go against the grain? Let’s hear 'em!

I totally get having unpopular gaming opinions. For me, I actually prefer shorter games. I know a lot of people want 100+ hour epics, but I love tight 10-15 hour experiences that don’t overstay their welcome. Quality over quantity, you know?

Totally get the ‘black sheep’ love. Sometimes I prefer linear games over open world.

Nice to follow a tight story without getting lost in side quests.

Keeps me hooked from start to finish.

I get what you mean about unpopular opinions. For me, I actually enjoy games with no fast travel. Makes me feel more immersed in the world and appreciate the journey. Sure, it takes longer, but I think it’s worth it.

I’m with you on that. Sometimes the ‘black sheep’ games try cool new things. Graphics aren’t everything. I’ve had more fun with some low-budget indie games than big AAA titles lately.

Man, I’m right there with you on unpopular opinions. Here’s mine: I actually like games with unskippable cutscenes. Weird, right?

I know it drives most people nuts, but for me it forces me to slow down and really soak in the story. Plus, devs put a ton of work into those scenes.

Sometimes I even rewatch them to catch details I missed the first time around.
