Game designer for Arkham Horror: The Card Game here! Let's chat!

Hi everyone! I’m the main designer for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. My first scenario was A Light in the Fog, and I led the whole Feast of Hemlock Vale cycle. I’ve also worked on other cool stuff like Legend of the Five Rings and Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth.

I’m excited to answer your questions! Just remember, I can’t talk about upcoming stuff that hasn’t been announced yet.

I’ll be around later today to start replying. Can’t wait to hear from you all!

Update: I’m here now! I’ll start with the most popular questions and work my way down. Feel free to upvote the ones you really want answered!

Another update: Thanks for all the great questions! I’ll be back tomorrow morning to answer more.

Final update: Wow, what an amazing response! I’ve answered a ton of questions, but I think I’m done for now. You guys are awesome, and you make this game special. Have a great holiday season!

The narrative twists are the best part for sure. Love how each scenario throws you for a loop.

Coming up with those surprises is a real challenge, but so rewarding when it all comes together.

Arkham Horror TCG is such a blast! Love how it blends storytelling with card mechanics. The Feast of Hemlock Vale cycle was intense. What’s your favorite part about designing scenarios for the game?

The storytelling is what hooked me too. Coming up with new ways to challenge players while keeping the narrative flowing is a real puzzle. Gotta love those unexpected twists!

Gotta agree, the storytelling in Arkham Horror is top-notch. I’ve played through most of the cycles and they never get old. The way each scenario throws new challenges at you while building this creepy atmosphere is just perfect. Always wondered how much playtesting goes into nailing those story beats and game mechanics. Must be a ton of work to get it all balanced.

Arkham Horror’s definitely one of my favorites. The storytelling is so immersive. I really dig how each scenario feels different, keeps you on your toes. The Feast cycle was pretty wild. Always curious how designers come up with those crazy twists.
