Does anyone else avoid using costume outfits because they break immersion?

I keep seeing players running around with all these different costume options during important story moments and I honestly don’t get it. Like when serious dramatic scenes are happening and your characters are dressed in goofy outfits, doesn’t that totally kill the mood?

The standard gear looks so much better for maintaining that serious atmosphere the game is going for. Even some of the cleaner alternative looks work fine. But when I see screenshots or videos of people doing emotional scenes while wearing silly costumes, it just feels wrong to me.

Maybe these unlock options should only show up after you beat the game once? That way people can have their fun without potentially ruining their first playthrough experience. I remember watching someone’s stream where they had their whole party in beach gear during the final scenes and it was just so jarring.

I just ignore what other players wear and focus on my own game. If someone wants to rock a bunny suit during the climax, that’s their choice I guess.

Totally with you on that. Standard gear keeps the mood intact, especially in serious scenes.

I get it. Sometimes I stick with standard gear to keep things serious, but other times I’ll throw on something silly just for fun. Depends on my mood and how into the story I am. Though I gotta say, seeing someone in a goofy outfit during an intense scene is pretty hilarious.
