Dead By Daylight earns spot on IGN's top horror games list

I was surprised to see Dead By Daylight make it onto IGN’s list of best horror games. They put it at number 17, which is pretty impressive. The game keeps growing with new characters and features. But what really stands out is how fun it is to play as both survivors and killers.

I’ve been playing for a while now and I guess I’ve gotten used to it. It’s hard to remember that it’s supposed to be scary. Does anyone else feel the same way? I’m curious what other games made the list and if you think DBD deserves its spot. What do you all think about IGN’s ranking?

DBD on that list? Interesting. It’s more of a tense multiplayer game than pure horror to me.

I’d probably put stuff like Amnesia or Outlast higher for real scares. But hey, DBD’s popularity speaks for itself. Guess it depends on what you find scary.

DBD’s more about the thrill of the chase than traditional scares. After a while, you get desensitized to the horror elements. Still, that initial panic when you hear the killer’s heartbeat never gets old. I’m kinda curious what other games made the cut now.

Kinda surprised DBD made the list too. It’s fun, but not exactly nightmare fuel.

I wonder if any classic survival horrors like Silent Hill or Fatal Frame ranked higher. Those still give me the creeps.

I get why DBD made the list. It’s not traditional horror, but man, those first few matches are intense. Your heart’s pounding when you hear the killer coming.

But yeah, after a while you kinda get numb to it. It becomes more about strategy than fear. Still fun though.

I’m more interested in what single-player horror games ranked higher. Stuff like Amnesia or SOMA probably gave it a run for its money in the scare department.

DBD’s spot makes sense. It’s not traditional horror, but the tension when hiding from killers is legit scary.

I’m more curious about what other multiplayer horror games made the list. Phasmophobia maybe?
