Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about this unrevealed FROM Software project with the codename “FMC” that people have been talking about. The more I look into it, the more it seems like it could be a remastered version of Dark Souls 3. Here’s what’s making me think this way. First, the naming pattern matches what they’ve done with previous Dark Souls titles. Second, there are rumors it’s supposed to launch sometime this year. Third, it looks like it’s being developed for multiple gaming platforms. What do you all think? Am I reading too much into these clues or does this theory make sense? Has anyone else noticed these connections? I’m really curious to hear what the community thinks about this possibility.
That’d be cool, but FROM usually makes new games instead of remastering old ones like DS3.
For sure, a remaster could make it even better, especially with updated visuals and smoother gameplay.
Yeah, I could totally see it happening. DS3 dropped in 2016, so it’s hitting that perfect age for a remaster. FROM’s been solid about porting their older games to new consoles too.
The timeline doesn’t really add up here. DS3 is only 8 years old and still looks great on PC. FROM’s been swamped with Elden Ring’s massive success and they’re likely deep into DLC or their next project. That FMC codename is intriguing, but knowing FROM’s secrecy, it could be anything.
DS3 still holds up pretty well for how old it is. I’d rather see FROM work on something new or finally give us that Bloodborne remaster we’ve all been begging for. They’ve been killing it with new stuff lately - why go backwards with a DS3 remaster when they could be working on the next masterpiece?
For sure, FROM Software loves keeping things under wraps. Makes the wait more exciting, right?
Could be interesting, but Dark Souls 3 already runs fine. Maybe FMC means something totally different and we’re overthinking this.
