Controversial take: public performance sessions are ideal for R.E.P.O. gameplay

I understand this may seem a bit odd, but please consider my perspective. I’ve been engaged with R.E.P.O. for several months and have explored various methods to enhance my enjoyment. Through different experiences, I’ve come to believe that participating in open mic events offers the best experience with R.E.P.O.

While many prefer private settings or small gatherings, there’s a unique charm in performing for an audience of strangers. The atmosphere is vibrant, the pressure pushes you to concentrate better, and you receive genuine feedback from individuals who don’t know you.

I’ve seen significant improvement in my skills since I started showcasing my work in public. The audience’s reactions help me discern what strategies are effective and which aren’t. Additionally, I’ve met fellow players who share insights and tricks that I might not have encountered otherwise.

Is there anyone else who shares this view? Or am I alone in believing that open mic events are ideal for R.E.P.O.?

Totally agree, the energy from an audience can really boost your performance and improve skills.

Never tried public sessions myself but that sounds pretty intense. I can see how the nerves would make you focus more though.

Sounds terrifying but I get it. I’m way too nervous for public stuff but I bet it forces you to really know your material inside and out. Plus getting feedback from people who aren’t just being nice because they know you has to be valuable. Might have to work up the courage to try this myself.
