Completed It Takes Two and need recommendations for cooperative games to enjoy with my significant other

My boyfriend loves gaming and owns a PS5, while I’m pretty new to video games. We just moved in together and he got me to try It Takes Two with him.

What made it amazing:

  • Super entertaining gameplay throughout
  • Gorgeous visual design
  • Co-op mechanics that worked well despite our skill gap
  • Simple enough controls for a beginner like me, but still engaging for an experienced player

Can anyone recommend games that have these same qualities? Looking for something we can both enjoy together despite having different gaming backgrounds.

Overcooked 2 sounds perfect for you two. It’s pure chaos - you’re running around a kitchen trying to cook meals before time runs out. Controls are super simple, but you’ll be yelling at each other trying to coordinate. Portal 2 co-op is another solid pick if you’re cool with puzzles. Both games make teamwork fun without needing crazy skills.

A Way Out’s perfect for this. Same devs, amazing co-op story, but totally different vibe.

Unravel Two is great for couples. You and your partner control these cute yarn characters working together to solve puzzles, plus the art is stunning.

Moving Out is great too - like Overcooked but you’re furniture movers instead of chefs.
