CK3 needs dynamic gameplay, not just harder difficulty

Been away from CK3 for months but still check dev updates and community posts. After Chapter IV and the recent Khans expansion, I’m getting frustrated with the game’s direction.

Used to buy every DLC bundle right away and get hyped for new releases. But every time it’s the same thing - play for a few hours when something drops, then quit until next update.

The recent dev diary about adding hard mode made me realize Paradox still doesn’t get what’s wrong. It’s not about making things more difficult.

The real problem is how boring and predictable everything feels. AI doesn’t do interesting stuff. No cool stories happen naturally. No epic feuds or legendary characters emerge on their own. Just stat management.

Everyone says use mods or roleplay more, but shouldn’t the base game create engaging situations without me having to imagine everything? Even great mods like Fallen Eagle can’t fix the core issues.

You could add a hundred more DLCs with new mechanics, buildings, and character customization. None of that matters if the world stays this lifeless and static.

Anyone else feel like the game world is too predictable and needs more dynamic events?

I totally feel you on this. The game just feels so stagnant now, like nothing really happens without your input. It used to be chaotic and unpredictable, which made it exciting. Nowadays, it’s just AI rulers going through the motions without any real action or drama. We could definitely use more dynamic events to shake things up.

Absolutely! The game needs more surprises. It would be great to see some wild events and stories unfold naturally.

Yeah! The AI’s way too passive now. I’d love to see random rivalries break out or factions starting wars on their own instead of waiting for me to trigger everything.
