Hey everyone! I’m a big horror game fan and I’m always on the lookout for new titles to give me the creeps. I’ve been playing Darkwood and it’s been awesome. Next on my list is Cry of Fear. But I’m curious if there are any other lesser-known horror games that you guys would recommend?
I’m talking about those hidden gems that don’t get as much attention but are still really good. Maybe some indie titles or older games that flew under the radar? I’m open to different types of horror too - psychological, survival, jump scares, you name it!
What are your top picks for underrated horror games that more people should know about? I’d love to hear your suggestions and why you think they’re worth playing. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
I played this little game called Remothered: Tormented Fathers. It’s got a really tense vibe and some messed up characters. The story’s pretty wild too. Not perfect, but definitely scared me more than I expected.
Man, I gotta recommend Pathologic 2. It’s this weird Russian survival horror game that messes with your head. The atmosphere is oppressive and you’re always on edge. It’s not jump-scary, more like a slow burn that gets under your skin. Totally unique experience if you can get past the jank.
Lost in Vivo is a creepy indie gem. Claustrophobic tunnels, unsettling monsters, and a story that gets under your skin. Definitely worth checking out if you want something different.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is pretty underrated. It’s not as scary as the first one, but the story is wild and the atmosphere is super creepy. Definitely worth playing if you’re into psychological horror stuff.
