Can you suggest a game that's not a Souls-like but gives a similar vibe to Dark Souls?

Hey guys, I’ve been thinking about games that aren’t actually Souls-like but somehow give off a similar feeling to Dark Souls. I’m really curious to hear what you all come up with!

For me, the Thief games (especially the older ones) kinda hit that spot. They’re not action RPGs, but the dark, mysterious vibes and the way you have to really pay attention to your surroundings remind me a bit of Dark Souls.

What about you? Any games that aren’t actually Souls-like but still give you that tense, atmospheric feeling? Maybe something with a similar approach to storytelling or world-building? Or even just a game that’s really challenging in its own way?

Metroid Prime comes to mind. It’s not a Souls game, but man, the atmosphere is killer.

You’re alone on this alien planet, piecing together the story as you go. The music, the environments, it all builds this eerie, isolating vibe.

Plus, the bosses can be pretty tough if you’re not prepared. It’s old, but still holds up if you ask me.

Shadow of the Colossus gives me those Dark Souls feels. Not exactly the same gameplay, but it’s got that lonely, mysterious world and epic boss fights. The atmosphere is on point too.

Hollow Knight nails that vibe. Atmospheric world, tough bosses, cryptic lore. Not a Souls game, but feels like one in 2D. Highly recommend if you haven’t tried it.
