My buddies bought Overcooked 2 through Steam while I got access to it via Xbox Game Pass. We’re trying to figure out if cross-platform multiplayer is supported so we can cook together online. I’ve been searching around but keep finding mixed information about whether the standard edition supports playing across different gaming platforms. Just to be clear, we’re talking about the regular Overcooked 2 release, not the All You Can Eat edition. Has anyone successfully connected between Xbox Game Pass and Steam versions? Really hoping we can team up for some chaotic kitchen action without everyone needing to rebuy on the same platform.

Yep, you’re good to go. I play with Steam friends all the time through Xbox Game Pass. Cross-platform works great and I’ve never had connection issues. The regular version supports it, not just All You Can Eat.
