Are you getting tired of the constant deep lore analysis for indie games and analog horror?

I’ve noticed a trend in game and film theory channels lately. They seem to be stuck on indie games and analog horror. It’s starting to get old.

These channels used to be about applying real science to made-up worlds. Now it’s just picking apart stories that were made to be picked apart. It’s always dead kids or evil companies. Boring!

The worst part? The creators of these games and videos just use the theories to make more content. It’s like a never-ending cycle of theories and new content.

I was happy to see a video about Ratchet and Clank. It’s nice to see older games getting some love. But it feels rare now.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate all FNAF or Poppy Playtime stuff. But do we really need to dive into every little Roblox game out there?

Anyone else feel this way? Or am I just being grumpy?

I’m kinda over the indie horror analysis too. Been ages since I saw a good video on like, Zelda dungeons or Pokémon battle mechanics. Those were always fun to watch. Maybe it’s time for theory channels to switch things up a bit.

I feel you. The theory videos are getting repetitive.

Miss the days when they’d break down big titles and classic games.

Indie horror’s cool, but there’s so much more to explore in gaming.

Totally get that. Indie horror’s had its moment.

Maybe it’s time for theories on strategy games or RPGs?

There’s so much untapped lore in those genres.

Man, I’m with you on this. The indie horror analysis thing has been done to death.

I miss when game theory channels would dive into the physics of Mario’s jumps or the economics of Stardew Valley.

There’s so much cool stuff to explore in games beyond spooky lore. What about the tech behind procedural generation? Or the psychology of character design?

Time for some fresh topics, I say.

Yeah, the indie horror analysis is getting stale. I’d love to see more variety in game theory vids. Maybe explore the science behind sandbox games or the psychology of MMO economies? Lots of untapped potential in other genres.
