Are indie horror games underappreciated by the gaming community?

Hey folks! I’ve noticed a lot of backlash against indie horror games lately. It seems like people are always complaining about unfinished series and calling these smaller horror titles ‘garbage.’ I get it, we all have our favorite ongoing series (I’m a big fan of The Sims myself). But personally, I find these indie horror games really refreshing!

They break up the monotony and bring something new to the table. Sure, they might not be AAA titles, but isn’t variety the spice of life? I’m curious if anyone else feels the same way. Do you think these games deserve more love? Or am I just weird for enjoying them so much? Let me know what you think!

Indie horror games can be hit or miss, but when they’re good, they’re really good. I’ve played some that gave me legit chills. The lower budget sometimes makes them even creepier. Sure, not all are winners, but there are definitely hidden gems worth checking out.

Indie horror games are underrated for sure. They often bring fresh ideas and creative scares that big studios shy away from.

Not every indie horror is a winner, but the good ones are seriously worth seeking out.

Indie horror games are a mixed bag, but some are real hidden gems. I’ve played a few that were way scarier than big-budget titles. They’re not all winners, but the good ones can be seriously creepy. Love how indie devs push boundaries with limited resources.
