I’ve been thinking about the newer AC games lately. Don’t get me wrong, the big open worlds are cool and all, but I kinda miss having a big city to explore. Remember how awesome it was running around Paris, Rome, or London?
Those places felt so alive with all the people, famous buildings, and cool spots to check out. You’d really get to know the city as you played. It was fun recognizing places you’d been to in real life too.
The new games just have huge empty areas with some camps and fortresses. It’s not the same, you know? Mirage tried to bring back the city feel, but it was pretty small compared to the older games.
Anyone else want to see the series go back to having a big, detailed European city as the main setting? I think it’d be awesome to have that classic AC vibe again.
Totally agree. Those big cities in the older AC games were something else. Running across rooftops in Venice or Jerusalem was way more fun than trudging through empty fields.
Not gonna lie, I kinda miss the dense urban environments where you could blend with crowds and pull off those sweet parkour moves. The new games are cool too, but they just don’t have that same vibe.
Yeah, I get what you mean. The sprawling landscapes in the newer ACs are cool, but there was something special about exploring those detailed cities. Climbing Notre Dame or Big Ben felt more iconic than random ruins. Maybe they’ll bring back a big city setting in a future game.
I hear you. The massive open worlds are fun, but those intricate cities had their own charm. Sneaking through crowded streets and scaling famous landmarks was pretty epic. Maybe we’ll see a return to that someday.
